Tasty Treat Tuesday: Snickerdoodle Bars

I love Snickerdoodles, but every time I attempt to make them they taste horrible.  I’m just not sure what I am doing wrong.  I am excited to try this recipe, though.  Maybe I can finally be successful at making these and actually get to enjoy the yummy goodness of Snickerdoodles.  Don’t these bars look delicious?  Thanks Somewhere in the Middle!

Here’s what you need to make these:

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp soda
  • 2 cups flour
  •  1/2 tsp cream of tartar (not called for in the original recipe, but I’ve never seen a snickerdoodle recipe without it)

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 cups powdered sugar (use a little more or less to achieve desired consistency)

Tasty Treat Tuesday: Eggless Cookie Dough!

Who doesn’t love eating cookie dough?  I can eat it straight out of the mixing bowl, refrigerated, frozen, mixed in ice cream… let’s just say I am an equal opportunity cookie dough eater.  Now I can eat away and never have the guilt and worry from just having fed myself and my family raw eggs.  Yummy!  This would be a fun idea to serve for a sleepover or a Girls/Ladies Night In.  Thanks Baskers Fun Foods for the recipe!

Here is what you need to make this:
