Tasty Treat Tuesday: Mini German Pancakes

So technically this is a breakfast idea, but they look so tasty I am pretty sure I could eat these mini German pancakes any time of day!  If your family likes pancakes and waffles, they will absolutely LOVE these.  I have a lot of family headed my way for Christmas and I can’t wait to do this with them… maybe for breakfast on Christmas or maybe as a late night snack.  I haven’t decided yet.  I am also thinking of using different pie fillings and letting everyone fill their own.  Yum!  Thanks for the idea Real Mom Kitchen!

Here’s what you need to make these:

  • 1 cup milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  •  1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. orange zest (optional)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Tasty Treat Tuesday: Candy Cane Blossoms Christmas Cookies

Every year, I tend to make the same baked goodies for Christmas and every year I cringe a little as I begin to make platters to give to friends and neighbors and I notice the complete lack of color.  Everything I make is some shade of brown.  It all tastes good, but it just isn’t aesthetically pleasing.  This year I decided to add just one more cookie to my list, one that will add some life and color to my platters.  These Candy Cane Blossoms Christmas Cookies will definitely do the trick!  They look so festive and yummy.  Thanks Baked Perfection!
