Coupons for 2009

The coupon preview for this Sunday’s inserts is up on Taylortown. There will be FIVE inserts this week, so it will definitely be worth it to get a paper!

If your goal is to start a stockpile this year, here are some coupons that would be worth getting in multiples:

*Electrasol $2.50/1 any powerball tabs, gelpacs or quantum (expires 2-1-09) – This will be a HOT coupon. They are on price cut at Target for $3.25 right now, making it .75/box. I still have about 16 boxes of these that I got for .40/each this summer.

*Birds Eye Steamfresh Vegetable or Rice Variety, any .35 (expires 2-14-09) – if your grocery stores triple coupons, these go on sale 10/$10 every few months, which would make them free with this coupon! I have a freezer full from the last time they went on sale and I had coupons 🙂

*Jell-O Pudding Snacks or Gelatin Snacks, any .50 (expires 2-1-09)

*Kleenex Lotion Facial Tissue .40 (2-28-09) – look for 10/$10 sales making these .20/each if your stores double coupons

*Johnsons Baby Product or Johnsons Buddies Product, any except trial size $1 (expires 3-31-09) – you can get almost free Buddy bars and they are great to have on hand to stock up on other Johnsons products (baby lotion, shampoo, body wash, etc.) when the stores have Johnsons stock up sales

*Tylenol Infants, Infants Motrin or Simply Soothing, excludes trial size $2.50 on 2 (expires 3-31-09)

*Tylenol Childrens, Childrens Plus, Childrens Motrin, or Pediacare, no trial $2.50 on 2 (expires 3-31-09)

If you are getting multiples of a variety of coupons, the best deal I have found is through The Coupon Clippers. She posts the coupons for the Sunday inserts on Saturday morning. All of these will likely go fast.

More Savings Monday: Planning ahead – coupons you need!

There are no coupons in this week’s paper and there will not be coupons next week, either. Use this time to organize your coupons and to prepare for upcoming deals.

Here’s a few coupons you might want to get your hands on for upcoming deals:

*Nature’s Bounty – it will be BOGO the week of 12/28 and you earn $3 ECB when you buy 2. There is a $2 printable here and a $1 printable from the blue coupons.com link on my sidebar. You should be able to print 2 of each. When I looked online to check out prices, there are a few that are priced at $4.99, so this could be a nice deal.

*Tide – there were $1/1 coupons in the 11/30 and 12/14 P&G inserts. It will be on sale for $5.88 next week, which isn’t that great of a deal, but if you have a CVS $/$ coupon and combine it with that, it could be nice and then it could go toward the spend $50, get a $120 coupon booklet deal that P&G is offering. You can find the details here.

*Dawn will be BOGO next week (PSA $1.49). There were .50 off coupons in the 12/14 P&G inserts. If you use 2, you spend .49 for two bottles of dish detergent.

*Bayer 2 or Contour meter – up to $30 off – These will be on sale the week of 12/28 for $14.99 and you earn a $5 ECB when you buy one. So, if you have the coupon it’s an easy $5 moneymaker. There were coupons in the 6/1 SS and the 10/26 RP inserts.

*Revlon $1/1 or $2/1 coupons – there are several of these from various inserts. There will be three Revlon products that will be free after rebate at Walgreens during January.

*Garnier Fructis Styling Aid, Shampoo, or Conditoner Sale- will be free after manufacturer’s coupon ($1/1) and $2 Easysaver coupon. They were in the 11/9 RP, 10/5 RP, 9/14 RP and 6/22 RP

Tip of the Day Tuesday: Save more money using Cellfire

You may have heard of Cellfire and have been wondering if it is “legit.” I have been using it for a few weeks now and I can assure you that it is. Cellfire is similar to programs such as the Procter & Gamble E-saver and Shortcuts.com where you load coupons onto a store loyalty card. You do have to have a cell phone number to register with Cellfire. The great thing about Cellfire is that the coupons can be combined with manufacturer’s coupons and with other online coupons (for example, Cellfire had a Cottonelle coupon that I combined with the Shortcuts.com Cottonelle coupon and my manufacturer’s coupons).

Here is some more information about the program (From their site):
Cellfire is the premier destination for valuable savings on groceries, shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. Get access and use offers from your PC or mobile phone.

TARGET freebies: ham, veggies, batteries, and cheap biscuits!

If you have a KMart near you, then you’re probably living it up doing the doubles deals. I don’t have a KMart anywhere near me, so I have to find other things to get excited about.

Here are a few deals at Target:

*FREE HAM – the Archer Farms “ham steak” (which is basically a thick piece of ham) is all priced at less than $2 at my store. Use the $2 off Archer Farm printable coupon from Target.com to get your ham for free! (I posted a picture at the top of the page)

*Free broccoli – the Green Giant broccoli is .50. Use the printable $1 off broccoli coupon and it’s free!

*Free batteries – Rayovac batteries are in the “one spot.” There is a printable coupon for $1 off making them free!
http://www.rayovac.com/alkaline/pdf/AlkalineHAB_Online_Rebate.pdf

*Cheap celery – the Green Giant celery is .50.

*Cheap biscuits – The Pillsbury layered biscuits are $1.07 at my store (YMMV). Use the $1/2 Pillsbury baked goods printable from Target.com and the .75/3 blinkie found in grocery stores (I found mine at Kroger). Buy 6 and pay $1.92 (that’s .32/can). There are 6 biscuits in each can.

*Starbucks Truffles – the small bags are $1.29 at Target. There are $1/1 blinkies at CVS making them .29/each!

*Pop Tarts – They are $1.78/box at my store (YMMV). Use the $1/2 Target printable and the $1/2 manufacturer’s coupon making them .78/box.

*Hefty Zoo pals are $2.19 at Target (again YMMV). There is a printable $1 coupon. Buy 7 and then use the $3/15 Target partyware coupon. Spend $5.33 OOP.

*Glade holiday candles:
Buy four Glade holiday candles in the following scents and get a $5 gift card: Apple Cinnamon, Gingerbread or Glistening Snow scents.

The participating items are priced at $2.50/each, and if you scan them, it will say “buy 4, get a $5 gift card” on the scanner. The deal is good through 12/15.The following items are reported to work for this deal:

4 oz jar candles ($2.50)
Scented oil candle holders ($2.50) – only available in apple cinnamon
Scented oil candle refills 3-pack ($2.50)
Plugins scented oil refill, with free warmer in pack ($2.50)

Don’t forget the Fusion razors this week. They are $7.99/each and you get a $5 gift card when you buy 2. Buy 2 using your $4 off Fusion coupons from this week’s inserts (and hopefully you have a $5 gift card from another deal like the diapers or Glade candles). Spend $7.98 if you don’t have a $5 gift card (so it’s like you get one for free) or $2.98 if you do have a gift card.

If you have the $7 or $5 Iams coupons, you can also get a decent deal on dog food. It is on sale for $17.99 this week. Buy 2 and use a $7 and $5 coupon (along with a $5 gift card if you have one). Spend $18.98 for two bags of dog food (almost like getting one free!)

**Also keep your eyes open for TMF peelies on the Hillshire Farms lunch meat (the one in the Gladware container)
