New coupons and a way to buy extras for free!

There will be two inserts in Sunday’s paper – 1 Smart Source and 1 Valassis/Red Plum (depending on your area)

I was not overly excited about anything in the Smart Source insert other than the $5 Claritin coupon because we go through that stuff like crazy and allergy season is coming up.

There will be a $1/2 Kelloggs Pop Tarts coupon in the Valassis/Red Plum insert if you haven’t been able to find the $1 off peelie coupons which will work with the $1/2 Target Pop Tarts coupon.

To see the full coupon list, go to The Coupon Clippers and click on “Tracker” Then, select Sunday’s date on the calendar. The coupons are usually ready for purchase beginning Saturday morning.

If you have started buying extra coupons to help you stockpile, you can also get them on eBay and depending on how “hot” the coupon is, you can get 10-20 for less than $2 shipped. If you click on this link and register for their daily deal alerts, you will get a coupon for $2 off your next purchase. Also, in case you didn’t know, you also get 3% cash back for every purchase you make on eBay when you use Ebates. (If you use the $2 off coupon and go through Ebates, you will be making money buying your coupons!)

How I do my coupon match-ups!

Have you ever been trying to figure out your shopping trips for the week and wondered if there is a coupon to go with some of the items on your list? Each week, I do coupon match-ups for CVS and sometimes Kroger or Walgreens. You may be wondering where I get the information for these match-ups. One of my favorite resources is the coupon database on Afullcup.com. The database includes coupons from inserts, tear pads, peelies, and printable coupons. It is a great resource! They also have a Target coupon generator, so you can print off multiple Target coupons (and in case you haven’t noticed yet from reading my blog, I LOVE Target coupons!)

Coupon round-up

The coupon preview for this Sunday (2/8) is already posted on The Coupon Clippers. Click on “Tracker” and then 2/8 on the calendar to access them. There will be four inserts this week!

Here are some of the highlights that I saw:

From Smart Source #1:
*$1/1 Band-Aid Product on any ONE, excludes trial size (expires 5/31/09) – this has a late expiration date and there will probably be plenty of CVS/Walgreens offers between now and the time when they expire – these always go fast!

*$2/1 Revlon Color Cosmetic Product on any, picture is face makeup (expires 3/15/09) – these always come in handy when CVS or Walgreens have their BOGO free sales because you can use two and get free or close to free make-up

From Smart Source #2:
*.50/1 Betty Crocker Box Supreme Brownie Mix on any (expires 4/4/09) – if your grocery store doubles or triples coupons, these will come in handy!

*.50/1 Betty Crocker Frosting on any ONE TUB (expires 4/4/09) – potential free frosting during a 10/$10 sale

*.50/2 Betty Crocker Fruit Shapes, Fruit by the Foot, Fruit gushers, Fruit Roll-Ups or Fruit Roll-ups, Fruit Stickerz on TWO boxes (expires 4/4/09) – these will come in handy during the Kroger Daytona sale and the catalina deal

*.35/1 Totino’s Pizza Rolls Snacks on any (expires 5/2/09) – free pizza rolls during the Kroger Daytona sale (if your Kroger triples)

Red Plum/Valassis (depending on your area)
*$1/1 Maybelline MASCARA on any (expires 3/15/09) – great for the BOGO free mascara sales at CVS and Walgreens

*PURINA ONE Wholesome Entree FREE 13 oz can, to $1.49 (expires 3/8/09) – great if you have pets

P&G
*$3/2 Clairol Herbal Essences Shampoos, Conditioners, Styling products or Haircolors on TWO, excludes trial size (expires 3/31/09)

*BOGO free Crest kids toothpaste (expires 3/31/09) – will likely match up with a CVS/Walgreens deal – possibly 2 free toothpastes if there is a BOGO free deal

*$4/1 Gillette Fusion Razor on any ONE (expires 3/31/09) – for CVS/Walgreens deals

*$2/1 Gillette Venus Razor on ONE (expires 3/31/09) – for CVS/Walgreens deals

*Oral-B Stages Manual toothbrush buy ONE get ONE FREE (expires 3/31/09) – for potential CVS/Walgreens deals

If you are planning on purchasing multiples of any of these coupons from The Coupon Clippers, they are usually available beginning early Saturday morning.

You may have noticed that the dollar amounts of coupons vary based on location and some areas don’t get certain coupons at all. For example, a few weeks ago in my area, we didn’t get the Rotel coupons and we rarely get coupons for Daisy sour cream (but always seem to get coupons for Daisy cottage cheese). A few weeks Emily asked a question about why some papers get coupons and others don’t. The best answer I found was on HCW. Essentially, the post there said that different newspapers subscribe to different inserts. In addition, manufacturers limit or vary their offers based on specific target audiences. You can find out which newspapers have which inserts on HCW here.

With the start of a new month, there are also new printable coupons!

On Coupons.com (you can print these from the blue icons on the right sidebar), here are some of the coupons you will find:
*$1/1 Reynolds wrap (now excludes 20 or 25 sq ft)
*$1/1 Puperoni (there is also a loadable coupon on Shortcuts.com)
*.75/1 assorted flavors of Cheerios brand cereal
*.50/1 Wacky Mac (free or almost free if your store doubles coupons)

You can find the following coupons on Smartsource.com:
*.35/1 Totino’s pizza rolls (great if your store doubles or triples coupons)
*.50/1 Cottonelle toilet paper (if your store doubles or triples, this will equal free or close to free toilet paper)
*$1/1 Pepperidge Farm frozen bread
*.50/1 No Yolks egg noodles
*.50/1 Wacky Mac noodles
*$3/2 Johnson & Johnson Red Cross products

Check out the CoolSavings.com link at the top of the blog for other great printable coupons.

Coupons to have on hand

Here are some coupons that are worth stocking up on from this week’s inserts:

*Softsoap – .35/1 (expires 2/21/09) – if you have Kroger (and your Kroger triples coupons), these go on sale 10/$10 all of the time, so they will be free after coupon!

*Carnation Instant Breakfast – $1/1 (this is a Target coupon) (expires 3/7/09) – there are $1/1 manufacturer’s blinkies in my grocery stores, so if I pair the blinkie with the Target coupon, the boxes or the big canister (which I buy because we go through so much) will be $3.49

*Colgate Total – $1/1 (expires 2/21/09) – these are always good to have on hand for Walgreens/CVS toothpaste deals

*Duncan Hines brownies – .35/1 (expires 5/31/09) – these are great if your grocery stores double or triple, especially with such a late expiration date because you can wait for a great sale and stock up

*Juicy Juice – $1/2 (expires 3/7/09) – this is a Target coupon which will combine well with the $1/1 manufacturer’s coupon

*Lean Cuisine – $2/5 (expires 3/7/09) – this is a Target coupon which will combine well with the $1/2 manufacturer’s printables

If you want to get multiple copies of coupons, my favorite place to get them from is The Coupon Clippers. The link is here: www.thecouponclippers.com
