Tip of the Day Tuesday: More places to find coupons

Write to the manufacturers of your favorite product

Do you have a product that you LOVE and can never seem to find coupons for? Try contacting the manufacturer to tell them how you feel about their product. Most companies have a “contact us” link and you can easily just e-mail them. I have gotten some great (and even free) coupons by doing this. The coupons usually have late expiration dates, too! It only takes a few minutes, but it is so worth it!

Check the packaging of those free samples

Each Friday, I post ‘Freebie Friday’ items. Make sure you check the packaging because they usually include coupons with the free sample items.

Check the database

Hot Coupon World has a GREAT database of coupons (including online coupons). It’s a great resource! If you don’t find what you’re looking for there, it doesn’t hurt to Google it to see if there are any printable coupons available.

Other online resources
The other day I was searching for coupons and came across Smartsource.com. I use Coupons.com all of the time, but I had forgotten about Smartsource.com. There are some great coupons there, too! Also, don’t forget to check out manufacturer websites. You would be surprised by how many coupons you can find there! Look for the “special offers,” “coupons” or “promotions” link to access them!

Aeropostale Friends and Family Sale – 30% off

Just print out the coupon and shop away. If you can’t print from this image, you can also access it here:

Tip of the Day Tuesday: catalina coupons

Catalinas are coupons that print off at the register, typically in grocery stores (Walgreens also has them). They are usually triggered by an item you are purchasing. For example, if you purchase Pampers diapers, you may get a catalina coupon for Luvs diapers.

Some of them are like regular coupons and good for a certain dollar amount off the purchase of a specific product. They usually will say “redeem at” and have the store logo where you got them. Some stores will accept catalina coupons from other stores, so you may want to ask your stores about that.

Other catalina coupons are good for a certain dollar amount off your next purchase (so they can be used to buy anything). I usually try to save these and use them toward the purchase of produce or meat, since coupons for these items are not as easy to find.
