Hot diaper deals from Diapers.com!

Diapers.com has some awesome deals right now! You can potentially get 5 jumbo packs of Huggies diapers for $14.49 (that’s $2.90 per pack!), 5 jumbo packs of Pampers for $15.49 ($3.10 per pack!), or Luvs for $24.47 ($4 per pack!). These prices will be valid only if this is your first time purchasing from diapers.com.

I have ordered from them a few times now. The convenience of having diapers delivered to your home is great, especially since their prices are comparable to retail prices, and their shipping time is super fast!

Here’s the breakdown for the Huggies:

1. Print the $2 Huggies diapers coupons and send them in. Diapers.com accepts manufacturer’s coupons. To find out how to submit your manufacturer’s coupons for credit, click here.

2. If you haven’t already, sign up for Ebates. If you are a new member, you will get a $5 bonus (after you make your first purchase) when you sign up here. Once you have signed up, search for Diapers.com, and click through the link on the site. You will get an additional 1% cash back for shopping through this link.

3. Choose 5 Huggies jumbo packs (sizes 1-2 here and sizes 3-6 here). Add them to your cart.

4. Proceed to check-out. If you’re a new member, you’ll have to register.

5. If you originally added $49 or more to your cart, your order should qualify for free shipping. Your total should be $49.95 at this point. (Any coupons you have submitted should also appear as a credit on your account)

6. Enter the coupon code MELISSASBA if you are a new customer to get $10 off your order of $49 or more.

7. Once you get your order, submit for the $14.97 rebate (I recommend printing this now)

If you follow all of these steps, your total should be $14.49! If you don’t want to deal with sending in the coupons initially, your total will be $24.49 ($4.90/pack), which is still a great deal!

If you want to order Pampers, here’s the breakdown:

1. There were $1.50/1 coupons in the 2-7 PG insert. Send in any coupons you have (ideally 5).

3. Choose 5 Pampers jumbo packs (Baby Dry sizes 1-6 here and Cruisers sizes 3-7 here). Add them to your cart. Click the Instant eCoupon box to get an additional $1.50/1 Pampers diapers or pants.

Follow steps 4-7 above (in the Huggies scenarios). Your total out of pocket if you follow all of these steps should be $15.49 ($3.10 per pack). If you don’t want to deal sending coupons in, it would be $22.99 ($4.60/pack), which is still a great deal!

If you want to order Luvs, here’s the breakdown:

1. If you haven’t already, sign up for Ebates. If you are a new member, you will get a $5 bonus (after you make your first purchase) when you sign up here. Once you have signed up, search for Diapers.com, and click through the link on the site. You will get an additional 1% cash back for shopping through this link.

2. Choose 6 Luvs jumbo packs here. Choose 1 package of Pampers travel wipes here (you need these to get your total over $49).

Follow steps 4-7 in the Huggies scenario. Your total out of pocket should be $24.47 ($4 per pack)

Heads up: Another diaper deal at Walgreens!

This morning in my printable coupon round-up, I posted about a $2 Huggies diapers printable coupon. You can print two per computer and I recommend printing them QUICK because the print limit was met very quickly last time.

There will be a deal at Walgreens next week (starting 2/7) that these will match up with. Here are the details:

Buy 1 Huggies jumbo pack diapers, Pull-Ups, or Goodnites – $8.99, get a $3 RR

Here’s what this will look like:

Buy 1 Huggies jumbo pack – $8.99

Use $2 coupon
Use $1 Walgreens activity book coupon

Spend $5.99 OOP, get a $3 RR
Final price = $2.99

Thrifty Thursday: I made money buying diapers this week

Yes, you read the title correctly – I made $5.50 buying 11 jumbo packs of Huggies diapers this week.

Here’s how I did it:

*I took advantage of the CVS deal this week. If you spend $25 on “baby” products (Huggies diapers are included), you get a $10 ECB. I still had some of the $3 Huggies Natural Fit printable coupons left and I rolled ECBs I already had as well. I got six jumbo packs of diapers for free. You can see the pictures in this post here.

*I took advantage of a Diapers.com deal. I paid $2.75 OOP (using Paypal money I earned from various survey sites) for five jumbo packs of diapers.

*I will submit my receipts to Caregivers Marketplace for the rebate that they offer. They pay $.75 per Huggies jumbo pack. So, I will get $8.25 back for the 11 packs of diapers that I “bought.”

I also got a $10 check in the mail for a diaper study I completed recently. When you do a diaper study, you get free diapers to test out (for this one, I got two packages), you complete two quick and easy phone surveys, and then they pay you $10.

If you’re interested in doing a diaper study, you can contact Arquest (that is who I did the study with). They are currently doing a study for boys and girls wearing size 4 diapers (I have found that most of the studies are for kids in diaper sizes 3 and up).

Here’s the number that you call (if you don’t get a “real” person, leave a message…even if they are full, they will put you on their list and call you back when there are openings):

1-888-342-7372
Extension 646 for girls
Extension 634 for boys

Some thoughts on stockpiling diapers!

I think stockpiling diapers is the greatest thing ever and I plan to post even more on this later, but with the big deal at Walgreens this week, I thought I’d share a few tips.

This “suggested stockpiling chart” was shared on the Babycenter.com Coupon Thread. Unfortunately, I don’t know who the original poster was:

Stocking up on diapers? Here is the recommended quantity to get for each size!

Size/QTY/# of diapers (based on jumbo packs)

1 10 (~440 diapers)

2 22 (~946 diapers)

3 24 (~888 diapers)

4 18 (~594 diapers)

Here are the average corresponding “weights” for diaper sizes:

Newborn (up to 10 pounds)
Size 1 (up to 14 pounds)
Size 2 (12-18 pounds)
Size 3 (16-28 pounds)
Size 4 (22-37 pounds)
Size 5 (over 27 pounds)
Size 6 (over 35 pounds)

If you are stockpiling for your first baby, most babies are not in newborn-sized diapers for very long (my son was 10 pounds, 6 ounces at birth, so he was already in size 1 at the hospital!). You get to bring home the package of diapers they give you at the hospital and that is usually newborn-sized, so one additional package of newborn-sized diapers (unless you have a preemie or very small baby, which isn’t something you really “plan” for) should be fine.

Stockpiling can be a bit tricky because you never know how your babies are going to grow. I have found that my kids always moved up to the next size before they reached the maximum weight listed on the diaper package. As your baby gets bigger, you will find that you can always go up a size, but once the diapers are too small, they are too small.

From my experience, we went through a lot more size 3 and 4 diapers than anything else and my kids stayed in those sizes the longest. We weren’t in size 2 diapers very long at all and size 2 really overlaps with size 1 and 3. (Again this is just my personal experience). Here are my recommendations based on my two children (one boy, one girl):

Size/QTY/#of diapers (based on jumbo packs)/# of diapers in package

1 10 (~440 diapers) ~44

2 12 (~480 diapers) ~40

3 24 (~888 diapers) ~35

4 30 (~900 diapers) ~30

And….a diapers question: Are you brand loyal when it comes to diapers?

With my first child, I was “brand loyal” and pretty much only bought Pampers. With my son, I have been less discriminating. I have pretty much stuck with “name brands” though. I bought a store brand once with my daughter, and they leaked everywhere and it wasn’t worth it to me. I haven’t tried a store brand since then. Plus, if you can get Luvs/Pampers/Huggies for free or close to free, why not? For the most part, I end up buying Huggies because there are a lot more coupons for them and they seem to go on sale a lot more than Pampers. I actually really like the new design of the Huggies, too (the Gentle Fit and Natural Fit). Plus, I get the rebate back from Caregivers Marketplace, so sometimes I end up getting paid to buy diapers. You can’t beat that!
