Little People Nativity only $23.99!

If you’ve been wanting to get the Little People Nativity set, Family Christian Stores has it on sale for just $23.99 right now!  This is the lowest price I’ve seen so far this year!  My husband and I started collecting nativities the first year we were married and we invested in this one about 5 years ago.  I love it because the kids can actually “play” with it and since they have one of their own, they don’t bother some of the others in the house which are breakable!

I am not sure how long this sale will last, but these tend to sell out quickly when there is a sale.

There is a new printable coupon for $1 off 1 Minute Maid 12 pack cans!  I LOVE these things!  They have reduced-calorie beverages in a variety of flavors including Cherry Limeade, Lemonade, Orangeade, and Raspberry Passion.  I’m a sucker for Sonic’s Cherry Limeade drinks, and these are a nice alternative.  My husband and my dad who don’t “do” diet drinks usually even like these and I don’t think I’ve EVER seen coupons for them!  They frequently go on sale 4/$10 or 4/$12, so you may be able to score them for as low as $1.50 each after coupons if you find a good sale (and usually canned soda does go on sale around the holidays!)

Christmas Craft: Advent Calendars

Advent calendars are a great way to help your children keep track of how many more days until Chirstmas.  Ever since Thanksgiving my five year old has started each new day with the same question… “Is today Christmas?”  I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to tomorrow so we can start our advent calendar.  I may even make one to put in her room that is just special for her.  I thought this Candy Christmas Tree Calendar that I found on about.com was really cute.

Here is what you need to make it:

  • Green Cardboard
  • Paint, Markers, or Crayons
  • 24 pieces of ribbon (each 10″ long)
  • Small Bell
  • 24 Individually Wrapped, Small Candies
  • Scissors
  • Paper to write the poem on
