Magnetic Tic-Tac-Toe Craft!

magnetic tic tac toeNow that my kids are getting older, I find that I spend most of my days going from school to playgroups to dance classes to gymnastics classes.  I don’t really mind it so much, but the two other kids that get dragged along and have to wait outside of said classes tend to grumble and groan about it.  They just get so bored!  Enter my newest craft project… magnetic tic tac toe.  It is small enough that I can just stick it in my purse and then pull it out as needed.  Now the wheels are turning as I try to come up with other magnetic games I can make/store in a tin so I have some variety for the kids.  Thanks Scrap Matters!

Here’s what you need to make this:

  • metallic box (think Altoids)
  • glue (I will probably use mod podge.)
  • scissors
  • ruler
  • button magnets
  • scrapbook paper or other paper of your choice
  • acrylic paint (If you choose to pain the box.)

Toilet Paper Roll Floral Wall Art!

This is seriously one of the coolest things I have ever seen!  This floral design is made completely out of toliet paper rolls.  Who would have thought?  This would look so good on my wall or maybe even my mantle.  I can’t decide.  Thanks for the awesome idea Lavender Girl!  This idea comes from an Hungarian blog and I have used google translate to put it into English, but the translation is not the greatest.  Luckily the picture tutorial is fantastic and you can figure out how to make it just from those.

This is what you need to make this:

  • several toilet paper rolls
  • black acrylic paint
  • photo frames
  • glue
