Kid Friendly New Year’s Eve Craft Ideas

Keeping the kids happy until midnight on New Year’s can be a daunting task.  The later it gets, the more tired and bored the kids are and the more stressful the whole night becomes for everyone.  I have found a few crafts that are sure to keep everyone busy and happy all the way to midnight…

Countdown to Midnight Box (pictured above)The Dating Divas came up with this fantastic idea.  Hour by hour, from 8-midnight, kids open a bag to reveal a craft or activity to help ring in the new year.  This includes making noise makers, goal setting activities and All About Me letters to fill out.

Happy New Year Garland – We featured this last year as a New Year’s craft idea and it was a big hit!  My kids are always wanting to do something to decorate for special occasions to make our house look “pretty.”  I know they will have a blast making this Happy New Year Banner and as an added bonus it will be a great way for them to practice writing and recognizing their letters.  I love when things can be both educational and fun at the same time!  Thanks Kaboose.

DIY New Year Pinata – This is probably my favorite New Year’s craft this year.  You can make your own New Year’s Eve pinata from a brown paper bag!  Thanks for the awesome idea Danielle’s Place.
