Christmas is a time for traditions!  Some of my favorite Christmas traditions include decorating the Christmas tree, putting out our favorite nativities, taking my kids to visit Santa Claus, and spending time with family and friends.  Sometimes the holiday season gets SO hectic that it’s hard to find the time to just sit back and enjoy the moment.  Make HoneyBaked Ham part of YOUR Christmas Traditions and take a break from cooking this year!

Growing up, we used special Christmas china during the entire month of December (and sometimes we started around Thanksgiving).  I loved it!  When my husband and I were first married, I told him about this family tradition, and we purchased our own set!  Although we don’t use it for the entire month of December, we do use it for special occasions including family dinners!  With HoneyBaked Ham, you can still enjoy your “traditional” Christmas dinner, including your favorite Christmas china, without having to do all of the work to create a big meal!

I can still remember the first time my family had a HoneyBaked Ham at Christmas!  My dad was given a gift certificate from work, and we visited our local store and picked out a ham and turkey!  It was delicious, and I’ve considered it a special “treat” every time I’ve had it since then!  As an adult, I appreciate it even MORE because I get to enjoy a tasty Christmas dinner without all of the work.

This year, I visited my local HoneyBaked Ham store on Memorial Drive in Houston and purchased a boneless ham, garlic mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and an Apple Caramel Walnut Pie for Dessert.  The pie took about an hour to cook, the Heat & Share Sides took 10 minutes to cook (if they are frozen), and I put the ham in the oven for about 30 minutes to heat up.  I also cooked some heat and serve rolls that I purchased at my local grocery store.  The preparation for this entire meal was less than an hour, but involved very little work on my part!  I love that the ham was already sliced, too!  The easier, the better!  I served it on my holiday dishes, and no one knew I hadn’t spent the day slaving in the kitchen!  I got lots of compliments.

I am not a fan of pie, and when I do eat pie, apple pie is one of my least favorite, but the Apple Caramel Walnut Pie was TRULY amazing!  I don’t have a lot of patience with pie dough, so we rarely have pie, and it’s great to be able to enjoy dessert without effort, too!

photo 1One of the things that I love about Thanksgiving is being able to spend time with my family and taking the time to reflect on all of the things that we have to be grateful for.  I’m not going to lie, though.  Sometimes it seems like you spend HOURS creating the perfect meal, and then it’s gone in 20 minutes and you still have to clean everything up!  This year, simplify and let HoneyBaked Ham take care of your Thanksgiving dinner!

HoneyBaked Ham has your Thanksgiving COVERED

Honeybaked-optionsI have always loved HoneyBaked Ham products, and I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to visit my local Houston Memorial Drive store to check out everything that they have to make your Thanksgiving dinner a BREEZE!  They have both ham AND turkey and I got one of each!

They also have all of your classic sides including herb stuffing or cornbread dressing, garlic mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and sweet potato souffle!  For those who are more “health conscious” they have mashed cauliflower and orange basil glazed carrots.  They’ve even got things like pasta salad and baked beans!  I got the sweet potato souffle, potatoes au gratin, mashed potatoes, and herb stuffing!  Serve them in your favorite serving dishes and no one will know you didn’t spend hours slaving in the kitchen!!!

You don’t even have to worry about dessert!  They’ve got plenty of options, and this is where I had the hardest time making a decision!  They have carrot cake, a cheesecake sampler, cinnamon walnut coffee cake, and more!  I settled on an Apple Caramel Walnut Pie.  Sounds AMAZING, right?!

The preparation is SIMPLE!!  Since the meat is pre-cooked, you only have to re-heat it!  For the turkey, it just needs to be heated for 30 minutes in the oven!  The turkey comes pre-sliced, which is a HUGE life saver, and if you’ve never had it before, the glaze is SO good!  We will enjoy our leftovers on sandwiches this next week!

The cost, when you compare it with similar meals that are offered through grocery stores for the holidays, is comparable, but this is SO MUCH BETTER! (trust me, I’ve tried both)
The best part?!?  Because you didn’t dirty a bunch of dishes, pots, and pans preparing your meal, clean up is MINIMAL!!  Make sure you join their VIP Club for coupons!!

HoneyBaked Ham brings you a hassle free Easter!

I was recently provided with a $75 gift card to check out HoneyBaked Ham and share how HoneyBaked Ham can bring you a hassle free Easter!  Growing up, my dad would sometimes get gift certificates from work for HoneyBaked Ham around the holidays and I remember how yummy everything was!  This was definitely an opportunity I couldn’t pass up!

Easter is just around the corner.  In addition to taking the time to reflect on and celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, I also enjoy gathering with my family for Easter dinner.  I enjoy cooking, but I’ve been dreading the time I know I would have to spend putting together a big meal and then more time spent on clean-up.  I love that with HoneyBaked Ham, you can enjoy a hassle free Easter without busting your budget!

HoneyBaked Ham brings you a hassle free Easter

I’m a bargain hunter, and so I wanted to find a way to get the most with my $75 gift card.  I researched the specials online and found these deals:

  • $54.99 Easter Ham & Turkey Combo – Pair a Turkey Breast (approx. 3 lbs.) with your choice of a Boneless Ham (approx. 3.5 lbs.) or Quarter Ham (approx. 4.5 lbs.)
  • $22.99 Turkey Breast (with any Half or Whole Ham purchase)
  • $24.99 Easter Brunch Bundle – Cinnamon Walnut Coffee Cake and Honey-Spice Bacon
  • Heat & Share Sides: Two for $13.99, three for $19.99

I opted for the Easter Ham & Turkey Combo and I purchased 3 Heat & Share Sides to go with it.  There is always a HoneyBaked Ham Express location that opens up in my area for the holidays, but it hadn’t opened yet, so I visited the Houston Memorial location instead.  I called ahead of time to make sure that they had what I wanted in stock, and they did!

When we arrived at our local store, there were freezers on one side of the store filled with the Heat & Share sides.  There were so many options, but we opted for the Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Potatoes Au Gratin, and Spinach Artichoke Dip.  They also had dessert options and it was SO hard to pass up the cheesecake sampler (I LOVE cheesecake) and the Creamy Deluxe Carrot Cake.  I was determined to stick with the $75 “budget” so I moved on!  The entire process took less than 10 minutes and my total was $74.98!

The preparation was easy, too!  We opted to have the turkey for our Sunday family dinner this week and we decided to save the ham for our Easter dinner.  Since the meat is pre-cooked, you only have to re-heat it!  For the turkey, that meant just 30 minutes in the oven!  The sides can all be heated in the microwave and take about 10 minutes to cook.  It doesn’t get any better than that!

The turkey comes pre-sliced, which is a HUGE life saver!  The glaze is SO good!  My daughter said it was “the best turkey she’s ever tasted!”  If you’ve got kids, you know that says a lot!  The sides were delicious, too.  I put them in serving dishes, and honestly, you couldn’t tell that they hadn’t been home-cooked!  We all decided this is the way to go in the future!  Only about 35 minutes of “prep” time and clean up was FAST!  The cost, when you compare it with similar meals that are offered through grocery stores for the holidays, is comparable, but this is SO MUCH BETTER! (trust me, I’ve tried both)

I’ve got some GREAT news for you! You can enter for a chance to win a $50 HoneyBaked Ham gift card so your family can have a Hassle Free Easter, too! There will be 20 lucky winners!
