Tip of the Day Tuesday: The Power of a Raincheck

Since there are so many great sales right now, I thought I’d remind you of the importance of asking for a raincheck if a store is out of an item you’re looking for. As long as the ad does not specify “quantities limited” or “while supplies last” most stores will give you a raincheck. It certainly doesn’t hurt to ask!

The best part about rainchecks is that they are usually not specific to a certain store location and they often do not have an expiration date. So, you can wait until a really great coupon comes out to pair with your raincheck or go ahead and order the coupons you had thought about ordering but didn’t because you didn’t know if you would get them in time. Of the stores that I shop at, the only one I know that does put an expiration date on their rainchecks is Target.

A few "hot" printables and deals to match

I don’t know about you, but I was a little bit disappointed in the insert coupons this week. So, I thought I’d share a few printable coupons and great deals to match:

*Print your $4 Sambucol coupon here: Sambucol is priced at $12.99 (YMMV of course) at Walgreens. There is a $10 Easysaver coupon in this month’s Easysaver catalog which means OVERAGE at Walgreens if you can find it (remember to give your manufacturer’s coupon first, then your Easysaver coupon, and have enough items to “cover” your overage)

*Take the Cottonelle pledge and print your $1 coupon here (you should be able to print 2): These are .99-$1.19 at Kroger stores for a four pack. Hurry and get yours because many stores will no longer be carrying them. Also, don’t forget to check out Shortcuts.com and Cellfire.com for loadable coupons.

*Print a .55/1 Motts coupon here – These are $1.67 for all varieties at my Target stores (again YMMV). Use this coupon and the $1/1 printable (check out the coupon generators on HCW or AFC) for some cheap applesauce! (.12 each at my stores!)

Feel free to share your other “hot” coupon finds!

8 oz shredded part skim mozzarella cheese
1/4 c. grated parmesan

Preheat over to 375 degrees. Lightly grease an 8 inch square baking dish. Spoon 1/4 c. marinara sauce over the bottom of the dish. Cover with half of ravioli. Spread half of remaining sauce over ravioli. Sprinkle on spinach and then half of mozzarella. Sprinkle top with parmesan. Cover dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake until bubbling, about 10 minutes longer. Let cool for about 5 minutes before slicing.
