Sunday Coupon Preview: 3 inserts coming this weekend!

This week, there will be THREE inserts in the paper:  one Red Plum insert, one Smartsource insert, and one CVS Manufacturer’s coupons insert!   Sunday Coupon Preview gives you the “scoop” on what coupons will be in the inserts so you can decide what coupons you want to stock up onYou can buy multiple Sunday papers, buy from a coupon clipping service, or dumpster dive (that last option is definitely NOT for me!) For information on reputable coupon clipping services, check out this post here.

Here are some of the “hot” coupons you’ll find this week: check out the full listing of coupons here (keep in mind that the dollar amount of individual coupons varies by region)

Red Plum
$1/1 California Pizza Kitchen product
$1/1 Kettle baked potato chips or potato chips
$1/3 M&Ms fun size candies (get ready to stock up for Halloween!)

Smartsource #1
$.50/1 Bird’s Eye Steamfresh Chef’s favorites (if your stores double, this could be a good coupon)
$1/3 Hershey’s snack size bags of Reese’s, Kit Kat, Hershey’s Milk Chocolate, etc (get ready to stock up on Halloween candy!0
$.50/1 KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce
$4/1 Schick Quattro for Women refill
$.35/1 Softsoap hand soap (this often goes 10/$10, so you should be able to get it for cheap!)
$3/2 Theraflu products

CVS Manufacturer’s insert
$1/1 Act dental rinse
$2/1 Emergen-C
$1/2 Lay’s potato chips

What coupons will you be stocking up on this week? How do you get extra coupons when there are hot ones you want? Is anyone noticing a trend with coupons? It seems like the dollaramounts are getting lower or you’re having to buy more items to use thecoupon. Once again, I blame Extreme Couponing!

NOTE: Please keep in mind that the dollar amounts on your coupons or the coupons in general may vary by area. Also, not all newspapers carry all inserts. You may want to check first before buying multiple newspapers!

Get a $25 Restaurant.com gift certificate for as low as $1!

Restaurant.com Weekly Promo Offer 300 x 250

Restaurant.com has a HOT promotion right now:  you can save 80% on Restaurant.com gift certificates, which means that a $25 gift card to some locations will only be $1!  This promotion is valid through 9/30/11.

Here’s how you can take advantage of this great offer:

1.  Visit Restaurant.com here

2.  Enter your zip code to search for restaurants by location.  Choose a certificate and click on the green “Add to Cart” button.  You can also get a $25 Restaurant.com gift certificate for us at a later date for as low as $2 after the discount!

3.  When you add items to your cart, make sure you enter the promotional code “FALL” in the yellow discount code box at the top of the page.  Complete the check-out process.

DISCLAIMER:  Make sure you read the fine print on the gift certificate options!  They typically have restrictions such as:

-Minimum purchase of X required
-Gratuity added automatically based on pre-discount price
-Valid for dine-in/dinner only

You can also get 50% cash back when you shop through ShopAtHome.com.  If you are new to ShopAtHome.com, you will also get a $5 cash back bonus after your first purchase, which means your gift certificate could be FREE!

To get your 50% cash back, click on the blue “Shop Now” button here–>Restaurant.com 50% cash back

I often get questions asking how this works or if it’s really a good deal.  It is for me.  Here’s an example.  A local restaurant we have been wanting to try has a $25 gift certificate for $20.  The “fine print” says that you have to spend at least $35 and that 18% gratuity is added.  Given the cost of food at this location, we would easily be spending $35 anyway.

Here’s a breakdown on pricing:

Buy $25 Restaurant.com certificate – priced at $20

-$16 (80% off code)

Spend $4 + $10 (because our total would be at least $35) and $6.30 for the 18% gratuity – we’re getting a meal that would have been $41.30 with tip for $20.30.  That’s half price!  Sounds like a good deal to me!
