SCENARIO SUNDAY – CVS, Target, Walgreens, and Bath and Body Works

Sorry for the late start this week. I know that whoever decided to put Halloween and the “fall back” time change back to back did NOT have children!

TARGET

Target is my favorite for deals this week!

In addition to the Glade candles deal, they have a deal this week where you get either a $5 gift card or a free gallon of milk (check the ad for your area because it varies by market) when you buy 5 boxes of Kellogg’s cereal (priced at $2.75). There is a printable coupon for $1/1 Kellogg’s cereal here:

http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=rjnefah1098550&bt=wi&o=54148&c=KC&p=uU1wzMHO

You can print it 4 times. There are also various cereal coupons on Kelloggs.com. So, if you use five $1/1 coupons, you either get 5 boxes of cereal and a gallon of milk for $8.75 or you get five boxes of cereal and a $5 gift card for $8.75 (if you’ve done the candles deal, use your gift card from that, and you only spend $3.75!)

Don’t forget the Prego deal also! It is on sale this week for $1.67. There are $1/3 and .75/2 (it depends on your ara) manufacturer’s coupons and $1/2 printable coupons on Target.com. If you have the .75/2 manufacturer’s coupon it ends up being .80/jar and if you have the $1/3 it will be .84/jar.

CVS

This week there’s nothing that really stands out at CVS for me, but if you use Pampers, this is a good deal:

Buy 2 Pampers jumbo packs (2/$20)

Use 2 $1.50/1 Pampers manufacturers coupons
(Use any ECBs you have)
Spend $17, get $5 (so it’s like paying $12 for 2 packages of diapers)

Crest Pro Health toothpaste – $3.49 (this is a monthly deal and the limit is believed to be 4), earn $3.49 ECB
Get a $1 coupon here: https://cphwt.safeprocessing.com/?src=crest_CDP
There were .75/1 coupons in today’s paper and $1/2 coupons in today’s paper, so this is a “moneymaker” with the coupons AND there are mail in rebate forms on tear pads in some grocery stores, so look for displays at your grocery stores!

Sambucol – $12.99, get $10 ECB – this is not listed in the weekly ad, but is a monthly deal and is worth checking out. This is an herbal supplement to give your immune system a boost and is safe to use with kids ages 2 and up. They had this deal last year also and we stocked up. It works great!

WALGREENS

It’s a pretty slow week at Walgreens also, but there are a few good deals:

Schick Quattro disposable razors – $5.99 – FREE
Buy 2 packages. Use BOGO manufacturer’s coupon from 10/19 SS insert and $3 Easysaver coupon. Give the manufacturer’s coupon FIRST and then the Easysaver coupon. You will have .01 overage, so make sure you have other items to cover the overage

Glade Wisp candle – $5.99
Use $3/1 coupon from today’s inserts. There is a $2 MIR in the Easysaver catalog. This makes them .99

There are also reportedly $5 peelie coupons on some candles. If you find one of these, you make $.99 after the rebate

NyQuil/DayQuil Liquicaps – $4.49/each

Buy 3, Use 3 $1.50/1 coupons from 10/12 P&G insert
Spend $8.97, get $6 RR

More Savings Monday: The best candy deals of the week….

It’s hard for me to believe that Halloween is just around the corner. I don’t like to wait until the last minute to do things and I feel like this year I have really procrastinated in stocking up on Halloween candy. I was really hoping to get some at CVS last week, but that just didn’t happen, so this week I’m on a quest to find the best deals on Halloween candy.

Here’s what I’ve found so far:

KROGER

Mars, Nestle, Hershey’s miniatures or snack size bags – $1.88/each

Nestle $1/1 printable coupon: http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=rjssdxa677486&bt=vi&o=53811&c=VK&p=Bsnq9fmZ

TIP: When printing “Bricks” coupons (like the one above), when it has finished printing, click the back button on your browser until it starts printing again. You should be able to print 2 from each computer!

$1/2 M&Ms or Mars bagged candy from 9/28 and 10/12 RP inserts

TOYS R US

Candy is on sale for $1.49/bag this week for the Mars/Hersheys/Nestle fun size bags

Use the $1/1 Nestle printables to get each bag for .49 or the $1/2 Mars coupons from the paper for bags that are .99/each. Not a bad deal!

WALGREENS

Mars, Nestle, Hershey’s fun size bagged candy – 4/$10 – there is a $4 MIR in the Easysaver catalog this month

Buy 4 bags Nestle, use 4 Nestle printable $1/1 coupons = 4 bags for $6. Then send in for the $4 MIR = 4 bags for $2.

Buy 4 bags Mars candy, use 2 $1/2 coupons (last week’s inserts) = 4 bags for $8. Then send in for the $4 MIR = 4 bags for $4.
