Cooking With Kids Thursday: Alphabet Pretzels

This is such a fun idea to do with little ones to help them learn their letters.  Older kiddos can get a little more creative and make their own designs or even spell out whole words.  Making the dough together can also be a great learning experience as you teach your children about how yeast works.  Happy spelling!

Here’s what you need to make these Alphabet Pretzels:

  • 1 Tbs yeast
  • 3 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 1/3 cup flour
  • Egg

Cooking With Kids Thursday: Chocolate Raspberries

Don’t these raspberries look divine?  The dessert is so simple you could put your children in charge of “making” it and they could actually do it all by themselves.  They will be so excited that they accomplished the task all on their own and everyone will enjoy tasting the results!  Thanks Saucy at Saucy Sprinkles for the yummy dessert idea!

Here’s what you need to make these:

  • fresh raspberies
  • dark chocolate chips
  • white chocolate chips

Cooking With Kids Thursday: Homemade Bath Soap Crayons

Okay, this is one of those cooking with kids ideas that isn’t so much a recipe as it is a fun way to get the family in the kitchen, learning how to follow directions and measure ingredients.  Also, lets not forget the hours of fun your kids will have using these crayons in the bathtub later!  Thanks to Kiboomu! for this fun activity.

Here’s what you need to make these:
