Hot Kroger deal on Pillsbury, other catalina deals, and THE MEGA SALE IS COMING!

In my Kroger weekly deals post this week, I posted about a “cheap”/moneymaker scenario for buying Pillsbury refrigerated bread products this week (crescent rolls, Grands!, sweet rolls, etc.).

Then, at the register the other day, I got a catalina outlining an awesome catalina deal that starts today! The sale at Kroger goes through Tuesday (this is for the Texas/Louisiana market), so this will work Monday and Tuesday ONLY (at the 10/$10 prices). Here are the catalina deals:

Kroger catalina deals

If you’re not familiar with catalinas, check out this post where I explain them.

I try to match up coupons I already have with things that I need and if there is a catalina deal to go along with it, it’s even better. I use the dollar of your next purchase coupons to either help lower the cost of things I don’t get coupons for very often (like produce or meat). If I have multiple coupons and it’s something I need or can stockpile, I will do the deal multiple times and use the catalina to help pay for it. Some examples of things that I have stockpiled using catalina offers are: dog treats, yeast, cereal, frozen vegetables, and fruit snacks (this is what I could think of off the top of my head).

I saw these posted on HCW.

Some of them match up well with coupons coming out soon:

This one ends today, but if you could find a way to work it into the instant $5 when you spend $25 on P&G products, it would be nice. I know the Crest toothpastes are 2/$5 and there is a $1.50 E-saver coupon plus there were .75/1 coupons in the 12-28 P&G inserts.

Tip of the Day Tuesday: catalina coupons

Catalinas are coupons that print off at the register, typically in grocery stores (Walgreens also has them). They are usually triggered by an item you are purchasing. For example, if you purchase Pampers diapers, you may get a catalina coupon for Luvs diapers.

Some of them are like regular coupons and good for a certain dollar amount off the purchase of a specific product. They usually will say “redeem at” and have the store logo where you got them. Some stores will accept catalina coupons from other stores, so you may want to ask your stores about that.

Other catalina coupons are good for a certain dollar amount off your next purchase (so they can be used to buy anything). I usually try to save these and use them toward the purchase of produce or meat, since coupons for these items are not as easy to find.
