Simply Clean Saturday: A time saving organization tip

A few years ago, The Company Store clearanced closet organizers like this one (they were super cheap, but I can’t even remember how much I paid for them), and I bought two – a pink one for my daughter’s closet and a red one for my son’s closet.

Each week, usually on Sunday nights, I spend 15-20 minutes gathering up outfits for each of my kids for the upcoming week (including underwear and socks) as well as pajamas. Sometimes, throughout the week, as I’m folding laundry, I will just add it to one of the slots. An outfit goes in each section of the organizer (conveniently, ours has seven slots!). Mornings are rough for me and I’m usually running around trying to make sure I don’t forget anything. This has been a HUGE help for me! Plus, my kids can easily get their clothes for the day on their own.

  1. I have a few of these that I got at Wal-Mart. They have a lot of uses but I love your idea too!

Avon has a kid specific one that is awesome. It is $14.99 and comes in blue or pink. It has 7 slots and comes with letters so you can label each one for each day of the week (or whatever else you want to label it with).
