Back to school….already? The best of "back to school" deals!

I feel like my summer vacation has just started even though I’m about halfway through it, but even so, I’m not quite ready for all of these back to school promotions that are coming out already!

In case you’re ready to start your back to school shopping, here are a few of the deals you may want to check out:

Gap ~ Save 15% off all uniforms plus get free shipping on your purchase of $75 or more when you enter the code GAPUNIFORM at check-out.  (Valid through 7/11) Plus, get 4% cash back when you shop through Shop at Home.

Gymboree ~ Save 20% off all uniforms in store and online.  Save up to 60% off marked down items during the Red Balloon Sale.  Earn a $25 Gymbuck for every $50 you spend (redemption starts 7/14).

Kohls ~ Save an additional 15% off your entire purchase through July 11th with this printable coupon. Save an additional 15% off your online purchase when you enter the code JULYSAVE at check-out.  Plus, get 4% cash back when you shop through Shop at Home.  They also have a number of items with prices at 60%, 70%, and even 80% off their original prices!  Shipping is $.99 per item right now.

Target ~ Bic pens are priced at $.99.  There is a $1/2 Bic stationery items Target printable coupon.  This can be “stacked” with the $1/2 Bic stationery products manufacturer’s coupon from the 8-9 SS (this is where buying multiple coupons from a coupon clipping service comes in handy!).  So, you can either get free or cheap pens!

Toys ‘R Us ~ Get a free lunch kit when you buy a backpack priced at $12.99 or more.  You also get free Toy Story “Kooky Pens” with any Disney “Back to School” purchase of 14.99 or more.  So, you can get a backpack, lunchbox, and “Kooky pens” for just $14.99!  We will definitely be taking advantage of this promotion!

Walgreens ~ You can’t beat their deal on school supplies this week.  You can get a 10 pack of Penway yellow pencils, 5 pack of Papermate mechanical pencils, or 10 pack of Papermate pens for just $.19/each.  The limit is 3.  If your store is out, don’t forget to ask for a rain check!  You can also try price matching at Target or Walmart.

I’ll keep you posted on more “hot” school supply deals!  You should be able to get Crayola crayons for $.25/box (based on prices from previous years) and Elmer’s Glue for $.25/bottle (based on prices from previous years) plus free scissors, pens, and more (these CVS “freebies” will start next week!)

Website of the week Wednesday: Springpad

Are you guilty of having multiple browser windows and/or tabs open at the same time? Are you having trouble finding things in your Bookmarks because you have so many?  Don’t worry – I can totally relate!  Before I discovered Springpad, that was me and it drove my husband CRAZY!  Plus, if my computer crashed or shut down for any reason, I lost all of my links if I had open windows or tabs.

I have been using Springpad for about a month now and I absolutely love it!  In a nutshell, it’s an online organizer.  You can keep notes, recipes, restaurants, books, movies, and to do lists all in one spot.  You can also share your favorites with friends by e-mail, Facebook, or Twitter!  They even have an app for iphone and Android users!  The best part is that it’s completely FREE!

I love browsing the “Menu Plan Monday” posts on Orgjunkie, and since I added the “Spring it!” link to my toolbar on my web browser, all I have to do is click that button and I can easily add the recipes I want to try.  Plus, I can browse recipes that my friends are going to try for even more inspiration.  When one of my friends recommends a favorite book online, I can just add that, oo!

If you decide to check out Springpad, let me know what you think!

Get the Entertainment book for $5.99!

Right now, when you shop through Ebates or Shop at Home, you can get the 2010 Entertainment Book for just $7.99Plus, both Ebates and Shop at Home are offering 25% cash back, which means it is only $5.99 after the cash back and shipping is FREE!  Both Ebates and Shop at Home are also offering a $5 “sign on” bonus for new members, so your total would be $2.99 after cash back and the new customer bonus!

I buy at least one Entertainment Book every year (this year I bought 2!) and it more than pays for itself.

Here are some of our favorite coupons (the listings in your book may vary – please check the site for a preview of what’s available in the book for your area):

*Cici’s Pizza – Buy an adult buffet, get a child’s buffet free (this means that our family of 4 can eat there for $10 since our son is 3 and still eats for free)

*Pump it Up ~ Buy One, Get One Free Pop In Playtime (a great way to beat the summer heat or get your kids out of the house to burn off some energy on those rainy days!)

*Rainforest Cafe ~ Get $5 off a $20 purchase (my kids love this place, but it’s so expensive that we rarely go there…this coupon helps to soften the blow somewhat)

*Red Robin – Get $5 of a $20 purchase (plus, we use gift cards that I earn from My Survey and other sites to save even more!)

*Safeway ~ Get $5 off a $50 purchase at Safeway family grocery stores

*There are also lots of buy one, get one free coupons for local restaurants and attractions!  It definitely comes in handy if you want to have a “date night” without busting your budget.

If you’re not familiar with Shop at Home or Ebates, here’s how it works:

1. When you are ready to make your purchase, visit Ebates or Shop at Home to create your account.

2.  Search for “Entertainment Book” and click through the link that says $7.99 (this deal is valid through 7/14).  Follow the instructions on the retailer’s site and complete your purchase as your normally would (**Make sure you do not check the box that signs you up for automatic renewals – I made that mistake this year!)

3.  Within a few days, you should receive an e-mail letting you know that your “cash back” has been credited to your account (it may take up to 30 days for them to complete this process).
