FREE Weekend Family Fun and Activities Round-Up!

Looking for some free family fun this weekend?  Here is a round up of free activities and events.  It’s always a good idea to check with your local store before going to make sure that they are participating (especially if you’ve got a drive).

American Girl – Acorn Pouch Craft.  Free and open to the public. Your girl can create her very own acorn pouch out of felt and ribbon to take home.  For girls ages 8 and up.  Check here for times and locations.

-Paper Pumpkin craft. Your girl can make a festive paper pumpkin to take home. Free and open to the public.  For girls ages 8 and up.  Check here for times and locations.

Apple Stores – Check your local store for weekly workshops and youth programs

Bank of America’s Museums on Us – Saturday, October 5th and Sunday, October 7th (and the first full weekend of every month), Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders can get free access to more than 150 participating museums in 91 cities.  Photo ID and a valid Bank of America/Merrill Lynch credit or debit card must be presented at the time of visit. One free general admission limited to each cardholder at a participating institution, excluding fundraising events, special exhibitions and ticketed shows the first full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) of each month.  Here is a link to the full list of participating museums .

Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores – Free demos every Saturday, check your store here for more details.

Lakeshore Learning – Saturday, Ocotber 5th from 11-3 pm, kids can make On the Farm Puppets.

Lowes Build and Grow – There is no class this week.  The next class will be on Saturday, October 12th at 10:00 a.m., where kids can build a Spooky Stacker Game.  A free apron, goggles and patch are included with this FREE class.  Register for this class as well as other future classes here.

Michael’s Crafts – Sunday, October 6th from 1-3 p.m., Martha Stewart Crafts® Glaze Technique Show IN Tell

Microsoft Stores – Check your local store for classes and special events for the whole family.

Pottery Barn Kids – Sunday, October 6th from 12-4 p.m., Lego City Firehouse Build Event.  Kids can build and take home a Lego City Mini Firehouse for FREE.  For children ages 4-12 years old and must be accompanied by an adult.  RSVP is required.  Call or stop by your store to reserve your spot.  Check here to find your local store.

-Tuesday’s from 11-11:30 a.m., Story Time.

Target – select a city to find free or reduced-price admission to arts and cultural events in your area, sponsored by Target.

Toys R Us – Every Saturday, August 24th – October 26th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Join ”Us” for a FREE Cra-Z-Loom Bracelet Making Event!  Make your own trendy bracelet & take it home with you…plus, share your #crazloom creation with us @toysrus on Instagram!

The Home Depot – Saturday, October 5th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., kids can make a Fire Rescue Plane.  All kids get to keep their craft, and they receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin.  Register here for this class as well as future classes.
