Free Weekend Family Fun and Activities Round-Up!

Looking for some free family fun this weekend? Here is a round up of free activities and events. It’s always a good idea to check with your local store before going to make sure that they are participating (especially if you’ve got a drive).

Apple StoresCheck your local store for weekly workshops and youth programs

Bass Pro ShopsFree weekend events vary by store location and include camping workshops, food sampling and more!

Barnes & Noble – Saturday, January 16th at 1 1 a.m., storytime and activities featuring the children’s book Pete The Cat: I Love My White Shoes.

Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores – Free demos every Saturday, check your store here for more details.

Lakeshore Learning – Saturday, January 16th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., kids can make a Wacky Scientist Headband.

Michael’sSunday, January 17 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM., Warm Up America.  Knit or crochet a 7”x 9” rectangle, then bring it to our joining party where we’ll join them together to make colorful, cozy afghans to be donated to homeless shelters, hospices, veteran homes and social service agencies.

Microsoft Stores – Check your local store for classes and special events for the whole family.

Pottery Barn KidsTuesday’s from 11-11:30 a.m., Story Time.

Target select a city to find free or reduced-price admission to arts and cultural events in your area, sponsored by Target.

The Home Depot – The next class will be Saturday, February 9th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., where kids can make a Valentine’s Mailbox. All kid get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last

Toys R Us – Star Wars Epic Battles are back!  Play the games online, in any order and then take your certificate into your local store anytime before January 30th to get your exclusive FREE medal.  Check here for more details.

Williams Sonoma Free Cooking ClassesThis has been on my bucket list for a long time because I think my daughter would LOVE it! You do have to register in advance, but they’ve got the schedule posted for the whole month!

Check to see if there is a CityPASS available in your area! See some of your city’s most popular attractions this long weekend for a fraction of the price! We have purchased our local CityPASS several times and LOVE IT!
