Free Weekend Family Fun and Activities Round-Up!

Looking for some free family fun this weekend?  Here is a round up of free activities and events.  It’s always a good idea to check with your local store before going to make sure that they are participating (especially if you’ve got a drive).

Here are the free activities for the week:

American Girl – Project Runway Inspired by BeForever™ Tour. It’s a first-ever American Girl event. For two exciting days, we will be hosting an exhibit of BeForever-inspired fashion designs as seen on a recent episode of the hit television show Project Runway. You’ll get to view a select assortment of the actual outfits from the show. The event is free and no reservations are required. But the designs will be here for only two days, so mark your calendar! Free and open to the public. For all ages.

– Wonders of the Holiday Private Shopping Event. Now American Girl fans can surprise their special girls with the perfect holiday gift—and have a fun time out with friends, too! Come to American Girl® for our Wonders of the Holiday Private Shopping Event. We’re giving a limited number of shoppers the opportunity to browse at their leisure or get complimentary help from a personal shopper without the usual holiday season crowds. All while enjoying light refreshments. Guests get a goody bag for their special girls, complete with the latest issue of American Girl® Magazine. There’s even a special surprise. It’s fun. And it’s FREE! But space is limited, so make your reservations today. Reservations required.

– Hot Cocoa Cozy Craft. Make warm holiday memories! Your girl can create her own hot cocoa cozy from pieces of felt, then decorate it with cut-out marshmallows, snowflakes, and cocoa mugs. Free and open to the public. For girls ages 8 and up.

Apple Stores – Check your local store for weekly workshops and youth programs

Bank of America – Bank of America’s Museums on Us is offering cardholders can explore cultural institutions at some the most exciting cultural venues in the U.S. This weekend, November 1 and November 2Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders can get free access to 150 participating museums in 92 cities.

Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores – Free demos every Saturday, check your store here for more details.

Lakeshore Learning – Saturday, November 1st  from 11-3 pm, kids can make a Scarecrow Puppet.

Lowes Build and Grow – The next class will be on Saturday, November 8th at 10 a.m., where kids can make a Science Lab.  Register for this class as well as future classes here

Michael’s Kids Club:  Check back for fun classes for the whole family.

Microsoft Stores – Check your local store for classes and special events for the whole family.

Pottery Barn Kids -Tuesday’s from 11-11:30 a.m., Story Time.

Target – select a city to find free or reduced-price admission to arts and cultural events in your area, sponsored by Target.

The Home Depot – Saturday, November 1st from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., kids can build their own pallet coaster.  All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last.  Register for this class as well as future classes here.
