Free Weekend Family Fun and Activities Round-Up!

Looking for some free family fun this weekend?  Here is a round up of free activities and events.  It’s always a good idea to check with your local store before going to make sure that they are participating (especially if you’ve got a drive).

Here are the free activities for the week:

American Girl – Marie-Grace & Cécile’s Embroidered Card Craft. Your girl can learn how to use an embroidery card to stitch a dancer’s silhouette, reminiscent of the performers at the costume galas Marie-Grace and Cécile attended in 1853. Free and open to the public. For girls ages 8 and up.

– Celebrate summer reading with American Girl! At this craft event, your girl will decorate her own bookmark and summer reading log to keep track of all the great books she’ll read over break. Includes a doll-sized poster to take home. Free and open to the public. For girls ages 8 and up.

– Summer Flower Anklet Craft. Your girl can put her best—and most fashionable—foot forward. This free event will let her create a tropical anklet for herself using colorful paper flowers. She can also craft an anklet just for her doll! Free and open to the public. For girls ages 8 and up.

Apple Stores – Check your local store for weekly workshops and youth programs

Bass ProFREE activities including a BB gun shooting range, metal detector treasure hunt, crafts, photos, and giveaways!

Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores – Free demos every Saturday, check your store here for more details.

Lakeshore Learning – Saturday, May 24th from 11-3 pm, kids can make a My Superhero Puppet.

Lowes Build and Grow – The next class will be on Saturday,  June 14th at 10 a.m.  Kids can build Toothless from the new DreamWorks movie How to Train Your Dragon 2..  Register for this class as well as other future classes here

Microsoft Stores – Check your local store for classes and special events for the whole family.

Pottery Barn Kids – Summer Reading Program, now through July 17th.  Kids who read any 8 titles from the recommended book list will receive a free book (supplies limited).  Complete the challenge together by attending their weekly story time.

-Tuesday’s from 11-11:30 a.m., Story Time.

Target – select a city to find free or reduced-price admission to arts and cultural events in your area, sponsored by Target.
