I came across this recipe on Pinterest for Gingerbread Playdough and just had to share. I think it is such a neat idea. My kids love playdough and we have spent hours making shapes and foods with it, but I have never seen scented playdough before. This would be so fun to make with the kids then they can “bake” with the playdough while I am doing all of my Christmas baking. I am thinking that I might also make some and find a cute way to package it in smaller sizes for the kiddos to give to their classmates for Christmas. Here’s what you need to make this:
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup salt
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tbsp. ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp orange extract {optional}
