  1. So… i'm pretty mad. I just went to my local target and was able to purchase the leap frog pal for .49 cent (.53 with tax) I then bragged to a co worker and we decided to go pick one up each to donate to our toy drive, the Target we went to, the lady spoke very broken english got another representative to come over who said we can't accept this lets ask our manager, Who was unavailable, when I asked for the general managers name and phone number I Was told I could not have it…. 🙁 Very sad about this but still happy I was able to use the sale at another store.

Whew… what an ordeal. Thanks for posting this!! I have to share my story. I was so excited because my son would love this… I went to Target ad and coupon in hand. One little Caterpillar left on the shelf – whippee! (but ready for management) Brought it to the register, first checker no idea how to do a price match (probably new for the holidays) – no biggie. Calls the checker manager, he says there is NO WAY he can do this… it will only be $.49. I say "I know great deal hah!?" Then I say I also brought your policy (THANKS FOR POSTING THAT LINK!) he says he has to ask the Store Manager. Comes back – no go. I say but here's your policy and the coupon and neither say they cannot be combined. He goes back to her… comes back, okay if my system will let me do it. Tries several times and says sorry no go. I go home call Target and he tells me they CAN DO IT and will. That he was going to call the store for me and it would be waiting… I go back and YIPPEE! I got my little Caterpillar for $.49!! The trick is they have to ring you up with a coupon at the check out then you have to go to Customer Service for the price match.

I can't thank you enough!! This was a GREAT deal. Sorry my story was so long but I hope it helps someone else out if they run in to any issues…

    Thanks again.

  6. I went to 2 targets here looking for the Mr. Potato Head and the Alphabet Pal. Neither of them had them. To get a price match you check out with your coupon, then you take the item and the receipt up to customer service and they will give you the difference back. Anyways, the manager at one of the Targets said they wouldn't do that deal anyways

  7. I went to our local Toys R Us to get the ad so I could do this deal only to be told that they did not have the ad very rudely. Anyone know if I can print the ad from TRU website and do it that way?

  8. I think this deal has pretty much freaked Target out. They changed their price matching policy toward the end of the day to exclude "doorbusters" so several people have reported having difficulty with this deal. I understand if they decided to change the policy after the fact, but I think it's pretty sad that they changed it on the same day.

Some people have had success printing the TRU ad from the website and using it. This deal is going to pretty much be a YMMV (your market may vary) at this point, I think.

This link is to the actual price matching policy for Target…not the "pressroom" link most blogs are linking to. It is not a new policy for them to exclude timed sale prices. I saw a couple of M-A-D couponers at guest services the other day at my local Target. To those ladies….Chillax! It's a T-O-Y! 😉 remember why you're buying it and what this season is all about! We have much to be thankful for and Target price matching is one! Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all!

  10. The original Target price matching policy DID NOT include doorbusters. The link that you posted was down late Friday afternoon and when the link was active again, it included the doorbusters.
