Freebie Friday: Target $15 gift card giveaway!

It’s Freebie Friday and this time I’m giving away a $15 Target gift card. If you’ve been reading my blog for long, you know that I LOVE Target and $15 can go a LONG way at Target if you plan well!

The giveaway will run from now until 11:59 PM (PST) on Friday, 2/27/09. I will announce the winner on Saturday, 2/28/09. (The winner will be randomly selected using random.org)

You can enter up to three times. Here are the ways that you can enter:

1. Post a comment letting me know what your “favorite” Target bargains have been so far.

2. Sign up to follow my blog (if you are already following my blog, you automatically get an entry!) or subscribe to my blog (if you subscribe, please send me an e-mail to let me know that you have subscribed).

3. Create a post on your blog letting others know about the giveaway and link back to my blog. Be sure to comment here with a link to your post!

If you win, you need to provide me with some way to contact you. If your profile is public with a link to your blog, that works. Otherwise, watch the blog closely on Saturday, 2/28 for me to post the winner.

(If you post a comment as “anonymous” you need to include some sort of identifying information or your entry will not be valid)

Good luck!

And….if you’re looking for your “freebie fix” check out this post and this post.

New coupons and a way to buy extras for free!

There will be two inserts in Sunday’s paper – 1 Smart Source and 1 Valassis/Red Plum (depending on your area)

I was not overly excited about anything in the Smart Source insert other than the $5 Claritin coupon because we go through that stuff like crazy and allergy season is coming up.

There will be a $1/2 Kelloggs Pop Tarts coupon in the Valassis/Red Plum insert if you haven’t been able to find the $1 off peelie coupons which will work with the $1/2 Target Pop Tarts coupon.

To see the full coupon list, go to The Coupon Clippers and click on “Tracker” Then, select Sunday’s date on the calendar. The coupons are usually ready for purchase beginning Saturday morning.

If you have started buying extra coupons to help you stockpile, you can also get them on eBay and depending on how “hot” the coupon is, you can get 10-20 for less than $2 shipped. If you click on this link and register for their daily deal alerts, you will get a coupon for $2 off your next purchase. Also, in case you didn’t know, you also get 3% cash back for every purchase you make on eBay when you use Ebates. (If you use the $2 off coupon and go through Ebates, you will be making money buying your coupons!)

Check out JC Penney rewards and get free stuff!

I posted previously here about the new JC Penney rewards program. I got a $10 off a $10 purchase certificate e-mailed to me last week, which I used to get some super cheap capri pants (I live in Texas so even though it’s “winter” you can wear capris one day and sweaters the next).

If you haven’t signed up for JC Penney Rewards yet, there is a new offer:
Get a $5 off $5 or more coupon valid for online and in-store purchases when you sign up for JC Penney Rewards using source code 3008 or 3050 and this link.

You will be prompted to register a credit card, which is required to earn future rewards, but it’s not required to get the $5 certificate. Just submit without a credit card. After signing up, log into your account and then go to rewards to print out the reward certificate.

Thrifty Thursday: Deal Round-Up

Here are some good deals I’ve seen this week:

Fannie posted a coupon for Rainforest Cafe. My kids love to eat here, but we don’t go often because the food is expensive and doesn’t taste all that great. This link is for a $10 off $25 purchase coupon and for a free Volcano dessert with a purchase of $25 or more. It expires on 2/28.

Fannie also shared a Ruby Tuesday BOGO free coupon which you can access here.

High School Musical 3 – click here to get a coupon for $5 off the DVD (or $10 off if you are buying it on Blu Ray)

There is also a $5 MIR offer: $5 Rebate offer

Check out Misty’s plan (it’s*me*misty) for buying it (I’m going to use this plan myself since I already have receipts and UPCs from the lunch meat!):

Here’s Misty’s Target plan!

$15.99 Movie
$14.99 HSM3 doll Sharpay or Gabriella (according to Target.com)
-$5 Q

$25.98 pay with my $10 Lilaguide GC and get back a $10 GC.

$15.98 OOP

use 2 of my free Hillshire lunch meat Q’s

and get back $5 rebate-

for a total of $10.98 for the movie and doll

If you have a Kroger store, you can possibly get super cheap diapers. Some Kroger stores have their brand of diapers marked down to $5.99. You can print a $3 off coupon here, which makes them $2.99 per package.

If you are looking for other deals for babies, check out all the new printable coupons on the Johnson and Johnson website. You can print them here.

Tomorrow for Freebie Friday, I will be announcing another gift card giveaway, so I’m doing a bit of a “freebie” round-up today:

Click here to get a free sample of girl’s barrettes from Goody

Print a coupon for $1.50 off any No Nonsense product here (I got lots of free socks last year when there was a sale and I used a coupon!)
