Free Weekend Family Fun and Activities Round-Up!

Looking for some free family fun this weekend?  Here is a round up of free activities and events.  It’s always a good idea to check with your local store before going to make sure that they are participating (especially if you’ve got a drive).

Sam’s Club is having an Open House Event this weekend!  No membership is required through 9/14, so if you’ve been wondering if a Sam’s Club membership is right for you, go check it out!

Here are the free activities for the week:

American Girl – BeForever Postcard Craft. The world of BeForever is waiting for your girl! At this craft event, she’ll create two postcards featuring the BeForever characters—one to keep, and one she can mail to a friend. Free and open to the public. For girls ages 8 and up.

-Acorn Pouch Craft. Get set for fall fun! Your girl can create her very own acorn pouch out of felt and ribbon to take home. Free and open to the public. For girls ages 8 and up.

-Princess Bitty Baby and Me Story Time. Discover the wonderful world of Bitty Baby with your little girl! Sit close and listen to a reading of Bitty Baby and Me, a hopeful story about a magical mermaid adventure and making a wish come true. Enjoy a fun activity together, too. Free and open to the public. For girls ages 3 and up.

Apple Stores – Check your local store for weekly workshops and youth programs

Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores – Free demos every Saturday, check your store here for more details.

Lakeshore Learning – Saturday, September 13th from 11-3 pm, kids can make a Build Your Name Apple.

Lowes Build and Grow – Saturday, September 13th at 10 a.m., kids can make binoculars.  Register for this class as well as other future classes here

Michael’s Kids Club:  Check back for fun classes for the whole family.

Microsoft Stores – Check your local store for classes and special events for the whole family.

Pottery Barn Kids – Saturday, September 20th from 3-5 p.m., Spook Your Style Halloween Carnival!  Little ones are invites to enjoy treats, face painting, crafts and games while the Bootique experts match them to their favorite costume.

-Tuesday’s from 11-11:30 a.m., Story Time.

Target – select a city to find free or reduced-price admission to arts and cultural events in your area, sponsored by Target.

The Home Depot – The next class will be Saturday, October 4th from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., kids can build an EMS Truck.  All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last.  Register for this class as well as future classes here.
