Looking for some free family fun this weekend?  Here is a round up of free activities and events.  It’s always a good idea to check with your local store before going to make sure that they are participating (especially if you’ve got a drive).

Here are the free activities for the week:

American Girl – Summer Flower Anklet Craft. Your girl can put her best—and most fashionable—foot forward. This free event will let her create a tropical anklet for herself using colorful paper flowers. She can also craft an anklet just for her doll! Free and open to the public. For girls ages 8 and up.

-Bitty Baby and Me Story Time – Discover the wonderful world of Bitty Baby with your little girl! Sit close and listen to a reading of Bitty Baby and Me, a hopeful story about a magical mermaid adventure and making a wish come true. Enjoy a fun activity together, too. Free and open to the public. For girls ages 3 and up.

Apple Camp – Kids between the ages of 8-12 can register to attend Apple Camp FOR FREEE!  They’ll learn to make their own movies, create interactive books, and more!  Sign up here–> Apple Camp

Apple Stores – Check your local store for weekly workshops and youth programs

Disney Store – Summer Play Days are coming to Disney Store! Join us for the kick off on Monday, June 2nd at 2pm and receive a FREE lanyard*. Store events include Art of Animation, Trivia, Story Time and Showtime. Stop by every week and receive a character button. Events take place every day from June 3rd to Sept 1st. *While supplies last. Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Stores – Free demos every Saturday, check your store here for more details.

Lakeshore Learning – Saturday, August 16th  from 11-3 pm, kids can make a Blooming Numbers Garden.

Lowes Build and Grow – Saturday, August 23rd at 10 a.m., kids can make a Monster vs. Aliens Robot.  Register for this class as well as other future classes here

Michael’s Kids Club:  Check back for fun classes for the whole family.

Microsoft Stores – Check your local store for classes and special events for the whole family.

Pottery Barn Kids – The Perfect Fit Back to School Event.  Kids who try on a backpack after July 17th will receive a FREE backpack charm while supplies last.

-Tuesday’s from 11-11:30 a.m., Story Time.

Target – select a city to find free or reduced-price admission to arts and cultural events in your area, sponsored by Target.

The Home Depot – The next class will be on Saturday, September 6th from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., where kids can build a Wizard of Oz Birdhouse.  All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last.  Register for this class as well as future classes here.
