Attention Target Shoppers: Target coupon policy update!

A few weeks ago, I posted here and asked, “Is TLC’s Extreme Couponing Ruining it for legit couponers?” Since the season began airing in April, we’ve seen major changes in the coupon policies at Kroger, Publix, Rite Aid, and not Target.  Coincidence?  Somehow I don’t think so!

You can find the full updated Target coupon policy here.  The biggest change that I see is the policy for BOGO free coupons:

· BOGO coupons cannot be combined (i.e. you cannot use two BOGO coupons on two items and get both for free). Unless stated otherwise on the coupon, the use of one Buy One Get One Free coupon requires that two of the valid items are presented at checkout of which one item will be charged to the guest and the 2nd item will be discounted by its full retail price.
· A second cents-off coupon of the same type cannot be redeemed towards the purchase price of the first item.
o If a Target BOGO coupon is used, one additional manufacturer coupon maybe used on the first item.
o If a Manufacturer BOGO coupon is used, one additional Target coupon may be used on the first item.

My interpretation of this is that you will no longer be able to combine a buy one, get one free coupon with a buy one, get one free sale to get two items for free.  The second sentence is also major.  In the past you have been able to use a BOGO free coupon and a second “cents off” coupon together when purchasing two items.

Here’s another change I see:

Internet (Print-at-Home) Coupons:

· We gladly accept valid internet coupons that contain a clear and scannable bar code.
· We do not accept internet coupons for free items with no purchase requirements.

Target was one of the few stores that I knew of that would still accept printable coupons for “free” items.  So, in the event that a company releases a printable free coupon online, there is basically nowhere you can use it now.

What do you think of the new Target coupon policy?  Do you think Extreme Couponing is playing a role in all these policy changes?  If you think Extreme Couponing is “ruining it” for couponers, you can sign a petition here to try to get the show taken off the air!

Get All You Magazine for $.83/issue + a Restaurant.com GC and help Joplin!

If you’ve been looking for a deal on All You Magazine, I’ve got one for you!  The list price if you buy it in the store is $2.49 per issue, but right now, you can get a subscription for as low as $.83 per issue.

If you want to subscribe, go here and click on “browse.”  Then, search for “All You Magazine.”You can get 15 issues for $15 ($1 per issue) or 30 issues for $25 ($.83/issue).  That’s cheaper than I’ve seen it anywhere else.

Through June 27th, you’ll get a $25 Restaurant.com gift card for every two magazine subscriptions that you purchase ($10+ value) or a $50 Restaurant.com gift card with every three subscriptions.  The restaurant.com gift cards will be e-mailed out on Fridays.

You can pick up a magazine for the dad in your life as a last minute gift, get All You Magazine for yourself, and get a $25 Restaurant.com gift card, too!

The best part of all of this is that you can help others by purchasing a subscription! Typically, 40% of what you pay for your subscription goes toward buying Christmas gifts for needy families this year through the Salvation Army Angel Tree program!  This month, I’m going to use any proceeds to donate toward the relief efforts in Joplin, MO! So, if you buy 15 issues, $6 will be donated and if you buy 30 issues, $10 will be donated.

To see a listing of the coupons available in the July issue of All You Magazine, check out this post here.
