Happy Birthday to Swagbucks, a 3 point bonus code, and lots of changes!

Swagbucks is celebrating their 2nd birthday today and it’s going to be a BIG day full of Swag codes and other surprises!  I’ve posted about Swagbucks many times before on my blog.  If you’re not familiar with Swagbucks, you earn “Swagbucks” by searching online and your Swagbucks can then be redeemed for gift cards or other prizes and merchandise. I typically redeem mine for Amazon gift cards.  I joined Swagbucks last January, saved my Amazon gift cards all year, and used them to pay for most of our Christmas!

If you haven’t joined Swagbucks previously, today is a great day to join!  You will get 6 bonus bucks just for signing up using my link here and entering the code MELISSASCODE3.  (This bonus code will be valid through 3/4).  Then, watch for the Swag Codes on the blog, Facebook, toolbar (you have to download this) and Twitter today and you’ll be well on your way to your first Amazon gift card!  According to their Twitter page, the festivities will begin at 10 am PST (1 pm EST).

If you’ve been using Swagbucks for awhile, here are some of the changes that are coming:

Starting today, you will notice that your Swag Bucks in your account will be multiplied by 10 (as will the prices in the store, so for example, if you had 45 bucks in your account you will now have 450 SB;  The Amazon which was 45 SB will now be 450 SB).   NO prices are being raised on prizes (it will all be proportional – so have no fear about that), but what this split will allow them to do is to award bucks to users in ways that were not before imaginable (such as being logged into the toolbar, and viewing our special offers).   So with that said,the sign up code that is worth 6, it will actually be worth 60 SB.  You can find more info on the split here.

Here are the other changes:

1) More ways to earn Swag Bucks every day:  With Swagbucks.com 3.0 users will be able to earn by having their toolbar visible on their browser and also by simply viewing our ‘No Obligation’ special offers.   This means that in addition to all the regular ways to earn, the more you are engaged with Swagbucks.com, the more you will earn!


2) New look home page and Swag Store & rewards store:  Swagbucks.com 3.0 will include a revamped, cleaner interface that will provide a better user experience.

3)  Launch of the Swagstakes Portal:   As you may know we currently run about a dozen on-going sweepstakes (called Swagsttakes) at any given time.  With the launch of 3.0 we are going to have a brand new, fully stocked Swagstakes portal in which there will be dozens of Swagstakes running at all times! Walgreens Photo Deal of the Day: Get a free 8X10 print!

Walgreens is offering photo deals every day this week.  Today’s photo deal is a free 8X10 print when you enter the code FREEPHOTO at check-out and choose in store pickup or delivery. 

The code FREEPHOTO is valid for one use per account thru February 25, 2010.  Code must be entered at time fo check-out to apply discount.  Photo cart must include your 8X10 print at time of check-out to qualify.  Discount does not apply to taxes or shipping charges.  Order must be placed by logged-in customer by February 25, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. CT to qualify.

You can also get 30 4X6 photo prints for $3 when you enter the coupon code WINTER30 at check-out thru Saturday, February 27.  This coupon code is valid for up to 5 uses per account thru February 27, 2010.  Online orders must include 30 or more 4X6 or 4X5.3 prints at time of check-out to qualify.  All other prints after 30 will be regular price.  Excludes 4X6 collage prints.

More Target deals!

I love it when additional Target deals pop up throughout the week!  Here are a few “new” deals I have come across.  Be sure you also check out the weekly deals before you make your trip!

Alpo Chop House canned dog food (13 oz chicken flavor and beef tenderloin flavor) is on price cut for $.64/can through 3/20.  Use the $1/2 Purina Alpo Chop House coupon from the 2-7 RP insert and get it for $.14/each! (This coupon is also available on My Coupon Hunter if you want to get more to stock up!)

Target has the 3-wick soy based Glade Fragrance Collection candles or Reed Diffusers for $8.99.  Use the $2/1 Glade Fragrance Collection printable and the $3/1 Target text alert coupon (this was sent out on Sunday) and get one for $3.99! (Don’t forget about the $5 SC Johnson rebate when you buy 3 participating items)

Kraft cheese shreds or blocks are priced at $2 this week.  There were $1/2 Kraft shreds or blocks in the 1-24 SS insert.  Combine this coupon with two $1/1 Target printable coupons (YMMV on being able to use both because they do state “one per transaction” on the coupon) and you can get them for $.50/each!

Target has Gillette body wash (8.4 ounces) priced at $1.99!  Use the $4/2 Gillette body wash from the 2/21 PG insert and get 2 for free!  (This coupon excludes the trial size, but these bottles are not the trial sizes.)  There was also a $2/1 Gillette body wash coupon in the 2-7 PG insert (My Coupon Hunter still has them available for $.18/each!)  People are reporting that they are finding these on the end caps in their stores.

Don’t forget about the P&G rebate (spend $50 and get a free coupon book)!
