Thrifty Thursday: Free food from Firehouse Subs

I recently discovered Firehouse Subs when one opened near my work. I am now hooked.

They have a great selection of hot and cold subs. I love their hot subs because they are cooked in a steamer rather than a toaster oven, so they aren’t dried out the way many other sub places are. You can check out the menu here.

I love their kids menu, too. So many times when we go to “sub” places with the kids, I feel like we are wasting our money because we have young children and most sub places serve items from the kids menu on a roll, which is hard for my kids to eat. At Firehouse, you can choose between sliced bread or a sub roll. The kids meals also come with a free fire hat, which my kids love!

Right now, they have a promotion where you can get a medium sub for $4 after 4 p.m.

Click here to join the Firehouse Subs birthday club and get a coupon for a free sub on your birthday.

Click here to join their e-mail list and you’ll receive a coupon for free chips and a drink with the purchase of any sub.

(In case you’re wondering, my favorite sub is “The Engineer”)
