30 Days of Valentine’s Fun: Valentine’s Swirl Cookies

These Valentine’s cookies would be perfect for class parties or even just as a special treat for your own family.  My girls would absolutely LOVE to eat pink cookies.  Added bonus…they are also surprisingly easy to make.  Thanks to Jamie at Prudent Baby for the recipe!

Here’s what you need to make these cookies:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons brandy, or milk (I prefer milk, surprisingly enough)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Who wouldn’t like to get a S’mores pop for a Valentine?  Yummy!  This would be a really cute gift for teachers.  You could make a little bouquet of them, arranged in a vase or cup, with a note from your child tied around it with a ribbon.  Thanks to Erin at In Between Laundry for this yummy gift idea!
