Cooking With Kids Thursday: Bird Nests!

This is such a fun easter cooking craft to do with your kids!  My daughter recently learned in school about birds and how they make nests and she has been obsessed with it ever since.  I know she is going to have a blast making her very own bird nest.

Here’s what you need to make these:

  • 10 oz Chow Mein noodles (about 6 cups)
  • 1 C. Chocolate Chips
  • 1 C. Butterscotch Chips
  • “Bird eggs”  any kind of candy shaped like an egg
  • Wax paper

Here’s how to make them -> Edible Bird Nests Tutorial

Easter Craft: Boo-Boo Bunnies and Chicks!

I have very fond memories of making the boo-boo bunnies as a child!  The chicks are new to me but still oh so very cute!  Both are the perfect size for placing an Easter egg in for Easter morning and then later on a piece of ice can be placed in them to help soothe all those bumps and boo-boos that come with little ones.  Thanks for sharing Own Two Hands!

Here’s what you need to make the bunnies:

– face cloth
– narrow ribbon(s)
– 2 googly eyes
– 2 pompoms (one large for the tail, one smaller for the nose)
– needle and thread to match the face cloth and/or hot glue gun
